Influences on the film

For Trainspotting, 'Boyle was influenced by the colors of Francis Bacon's paintings, which represented "a sort of in-between land - part reality, part fantasy"' (Wikipedia)

Trainspotting (1996)

Initial Idea

My second assignment in Film Production Technology is to perfectly recreate a 3 minute (180 seconds and 0 frames) from a chosen film. The film must be shot in HD and be in 16:9 with mono audio. The work is to be done in groups of 4 or 5, and is weighted at 20% of my final grade.

I have chosen to do the film  Trainspotting (1996 Danny Boyle). My reasons for choosing this film are that it is one of my favourite films, I studied it for Film Studies at A-Level and the film was shot in the UK, meaning that recreation in the exact scene should be achievable. Tonight I will rewatch the film, so that I can choose a perfect, three-minute sequence to recreate.
